The London club are looking at sending Mudryk elsewhere this summer to ensure he accumulates consistent match minutes. Leeds had engaged in discussions with Xabi Alonso’s club about a potential arrangement, but Chelsea will not be sending the 25-year-old to Elland Road.

Speaking before Chelsea’s campaign opener at Fulham, Alonso declined to confirm whether Mudryk would feature for the London club. Alonso indicated that the situation would be assessed in due course and that there was no urgency to make immediate decisions.

He mentioned feeling grateful to be on the pitch again and described the warm welcome he received from everyone.
Mykhailo Mudryk is now back with Chelsea but he could depart on loan.
